After doing a clean install for Windows XP, Vista,7 or 8 you want to do this

Today, we are going to talk about how to do a disk clean up after you have  done a clean install for Windows XP, Vista, and Windows  7   To get to disk cleanup using XP click on the start button, then go to all programs, accessories, system tools and you should see disk cleanup near the bottom, click on this. A window will open, click on the tab where it says Disk Clean-upWindows will start to calculate those files that you can delete.

Another window will open’s displaying several items, click on the small boxes to delete files. Click on temporary internet files, earlier windows installation if there is one, recycle binTemporary files, than click OK, than another window will open to confirm your choice, click  yes and  windows will do the rest.

In Windows Vista and windows 7 go to the start button,  in the search field type in disk cleanup, it will appear at the top, click on this and it will take you directly to disk cleanup.  You will see a series of boxes, and you might ask yourself which ones do I choose. Check the boxes of  the temporary internet files, Offline webpages, Recycle Bin, previous windows installation and, Temporary Files. Click OK and delete files.

For Windows 8  go to the Windows Start Screen, Find Desktop,  On the taskbar  find File Explorer folder double-click on it. Find computer, right-click, on local disk, move down to properties. then click the tab Disk clean-up. There will be a series of boxes, click on : Delete Files, Temporary internet files, earlier Windows installation, if you find one, this is usually done after re-installing windows, also click box for Recycle bin, Temporary files, then click OK.
